Doomsday (also known as the Ultimate Destroyer) is a forcefully evolved being from ancient Krypton in which he was tortured by the ruler of Krypton, Bertron, until his body evolved so much that his capters were unable to contain him. He was went from world to wordl destroying life until he was defeated by a being known as The Radiant and put in suspended animation for life and sent rocketing into space where he landed on earth, the impact wiping out the current species on the planet.
